Liverpool: Knowsley Safari Park
Knowsley Safari Park is a drive through animal safari experience just 8 miles from the centre of Liverpool. Lions, rhino, deer, antelope and baboons can be seen from inside your own car some getting very, very close indeed. A large walk around area, like a regular zoo, is also available where you can see the elephants, giraffe, bug house, children's farm and compare their meerkats!
Amusement rides are available at an extra charge at weekends and school holidays from February half term to October half term.
The park is open all year round although it is advised that you phone if visiting when weather is really bad, as they will close if the roads are too icy.
